The difference between a steel structure and space frame
First of all, we begin from the connection mode:
The nodes of the space frame structure are regarded as hinged and usually connected by bolts;
Steel structure joints are regarded as rigid contacts and are usually welded.

The steel structure is based on the steel structure material
Space frame from a structural standpoint –
The space frame can be steel space frame, aluminum alloy space frame, and so on, but the steel space frame is in the majority in the practical application. The steel structure in addition to the steel space frame, there are also steel frames, steel door frames, and other forms.
III. From the perspective of structure and system:
The steel space frame structure belongs to the spatial structure system, so the overall force and spatial deformation should be considered in the calculation;
The steel structure truss is similar to the plane steel truss, which is a unidirectional stress structure. As long as the strength and stability in the plane are calculated, the stability outside the plane is mainly borne by the bracing bar and tie bar.
